Why We Built This Site
Nevada divides access by record type and custodian. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office keeps its incident, arrest, booking, and detention records, but it does not publish a live jail roster or warrant database. The District, Justice, and Municipal Court clerks maintain the charges, minutes, judgments, and dispositions filed in their own cases. The Nevada Department of Public Safety, Records, Communications and Compliance Division, Records Bureau runs the Central Repository, yet Nevada offers no unrestricted public name search of that repository. The Nevada Department of Corrections, Division of Parole and Probation, Board of Parole Commissioners, and Nevada Sex Offender Registry answer narrower custody, supervision, release, and registration questions. We organize the verified contacts, official portals, fees when published, and request steps for those separate sources.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how to locate and read Lincoln County criminal court case records
- Official self-review steps: how Nevada residents use the DPS-006 form to request their own fingerprint-based history
- Agency contacts: how to reach the Sheriff, local court clerks, and Nevada offices that hold distinct records
- Record sealing information: where adult petitions are filed, why the court that owns the case matters, and how NRS Chapter 62H treats juvenile records separately
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to Lincoln County, a Nevada court, the Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We do not retrieve official criminal histories or run government record checks
- We cannot submit public-record requests, record sealing petitions, or other filings for a reader
- We cannot certify a court paper, criminal-history record, booking record, or agency report
- We do not offer legal advice about a charge, sealing issue, sentence, or pending case
- We cannot promise that an address, fee, officeholder, or access rule has not changed
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Lincoln County Sheriff, the correct court clerk, or the Nevada Central Repository. We can identify the proper route, but only that office can release or certify its record.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by independent third parties. Those providers operate their own products, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this free resource. We neither set the provider's charges nor determine the content it returns. Third-party output is not an official Lincoln County or Nevada record and should be checked against the government office that created the source file.
